When this President’s brother, Arthur died, when he was in eighth-grade, it was a turning point in his life. Jesus taught him that is was not just His forgiveness he needed to accept, but he needed to forgive himself and move past it. God taught us that the next step in forgiveness is to accept that forgiveness, even if that involves forgiving ourselves.

As his first term as Governor came to a close, he decided to run for reelection. He was soundly defeated. As the father moved closer to the group, the brothers parted like a divided sea. Strange thing, I sure didn’t feel like a star.

There it is; the opening of the day of opportunity. The rooster crowed and we debated whether to throw a rock at it or just get up. Some people are such an inspiration of courage like we’ve never seen.
“And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.” Genesis 38:24 KJV
Her name was Maria Halpin and he was the “other” bachelor president. Er doesn’t sound like he was too nice of a guy because God zapped him in Genesis because he was so evil. I reflected on how much this can be like our life of sin.
