“And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.” Exodus 19:16 KJV
What was the gift for the President? We find that His smoke doesn’t fill our lungs with harmful chemicals but fills our hearts with joy and confidence. He made one of us kids sit in front of the hole so the salesman wouldn’t devalue the car because of the hole.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV
I’m not sure if it was the first stamp my new collection, but it was the one my Dad talked about the most. As I stood outside that cottage, I looked across the field and I wondered what all those soldiers thought when they heard that the man who cared so much for them had been assassinated the day before. We often get in our biggest trouble when we start looking at our reflection instead of where our shadow falls.
“I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.” Psalms 116:1
I must confess, even to this day, if I sing at all, it’s only in a slight whisper. With a tear in his eyes, he pulled his grandson close to him and kissed him on the forehead. He wanted to witness the twinkle in the child’s eyes because of his presence.

“Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.”” Jeremiah 15:10 KJV
Depression brings thoughts like that. You don’t get real excited about anything. The angel stood there a minute as though he was giving Bo a few moments to think about what he just asked. The President, who thought love had left him forever, was now dancing around like a teenage boy.
“But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the Lord’s flock is carried away captive..”” Jeremiah 13:17 KJV
His daughters would say it was the first time they saw their father cry. My greatest fear is that we are letting go of our grip.
I then headed to one of those inexpensive stores where you can find all kinds of treasures for a dollar. You really can’t put a price tag on that.
