If someone would say this one word, “Boom!” Your attention would immediately turn in this President’s direction. Like the little boy who gives his lunch to Jesus, he is nameless. For our sake, let’s just call him Dakota. Wondering why he was standing there, looking so lonely, I asked him why he was just standing there.

Not bad for a poor canal boy who had to become a janitor to get through college. How hard can it be to build a box? I think those might have been some of my longest paper delivery days. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely not!
It was September 30, 1971 and our beloved Washington Senators played their last game at RFK Stadium. They would move to Arlington, Texas and become the Texas Rangers. This future President would say in his book, “I almost jumped out of my chair. Owning a baseball team would be a dream come true. I was determined to make it happen.”
