The Best and Worst Presidential Retirements
My retirement has arrived, and I wanted to check out how some of the presidents and Bible characters handled theirs.
Let’s peer into my world and see which Presidents, or presidential styles, Bible characters, and foods I least admire.
Generosity is often thought of as a gift, but it is more like the status of one’s heart. A former President has showed us that over and over again. The Bible calls us to be one of four characters.
The fear of failure may turn back many, but it didn’t discourage this individual from running for the Presidency. It would have been easy for this Bible character to just give up, but thankfully for us, he didn’t. With these two examples, failure shouldn’t scare us either.
“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.” Jonah 1:2 KJV
One of the hardest things about life is getting older. Through 5 Presidents I look for some advice on getting older. I also found an Old Testament prophet to help me out, too.
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm 37:25 KJV
It is the tale of three sons. Two are the sons of men who sold bread for a living. The other was the son of a peanut farmer.

This future President was tempted to just leave his father there in the snow. The Bible makes sure that we know that the person who came back was one of those “evil” Samaritans. My wife’s first reaction to my bug is not one of pity for my condition.
