I think he also thought, just as an egg is fragile, the world would come crashing down on our lives once our innocence got corrupted. Sometimes we feel life is all about control. They both had their pistols pointed at the other’s head. They were fully cocked and ready to fire off at a deadly force. The man, who with the push of a button or the stroke of a pen, could send a nuclear missile toward an enemy or just as easily could send that missile to the scrapyard, was helpless….
Have you ever worked so hard on doing something right only to have really bad results come from it? It very well may be that it is the right direction, but the results don’t make us feel very good.

It’s probably not politically correct to even talk about Indians this way today, but it kept us busy for hours. Tecumseh was a Shawnee Indian warrior. Tenskwatawa, the Prophet, was his younger brother. How it really happens or if it really happened at all is often suspect.
This past weekend our grandkids came to visit. Mimi’s (what they call my wife) eyes have a special twinkle and Pop (what they call me) pulls out his best version of the Tickle Monster when they come to visit. They laugh and cheer and everyone has a good time. Then, those dreaded words we really hate to hear from their parents: “It’s time to go.” We see the little heads popping up from the backseat and those tiny arms waving in the air. Yes, goodbyes are hard.
