Interesting Donald Trump facts:

  1. Donald Trump is only the second divorced President. He has been divorced twice. He married Ivana Marie Zelní Cková in 1977 and divorced her in 1992. He married Marla Ann Maples in 1993 and divorced her in 1999. Ronald Reagan is the only other divorced President. Reagan married Sarah Jane Mayfield (Jane Wyman) in 1940 and divorced her in 1948.
  2. Donald Trump is one of five men to be elected President without winning the popular vote. The others were: John Quincy Adams (election of 1824), Rutherford B. Hayes (election of 1876), Benjamin Harrison (election of 1888), and George W. Bush (election of 2000). There have been eighteen times that a President has been decided without winning a majority of the popular vote. The main reason for most of those elections was the fact that more than two candidates were running. Some of the notable ones on that list include: Abraham Lincoln (election of 1860, he only received 39.9% of the popular vote, that is the lowest percentage of the popular vote receive and yet he still was elected President), Woodrow Wilson (he did in twice, elections of 1912 and 1916), Bill Clinton (he also did it twice, elections of 1992 and 1996), John F. Kennedy (election of 1960, Richard Nixon was his opponent), and Richard Nixon (election of 1968).
  3. Donald Trump is only the second President to marry a foreign lady. He did it twice. His first wife, Ivana Marie Zelní Cková, was born in Czechoslovakia. His third and current wife, Melanija “Melania” Knavs “Knauss” Trump was born in Yugoslavia.  John Quincy Adams is the other President to marry a foreign lady. His wife, Louisa Catherine Johnson Adams, was born in London, England.

My favorite Donald Trump Quotes:

I’m not a politician taking polls to see what I should “believe” or be saying.

I’m not bragging when I say that I’m a winner. I have experience in winning. That’s what we call leadership.

I don’t mind putting a big, beautiful door in that wall so people can come in and out … LEGALLY.

The future of our country is studying in our classrooms right now.

A great leader has to be flexible, holding his ground on the major principles but finding room for compromises that can bring people together.

You’re fired!

Comments:

There is no way I’m ready to be like the Noble Prize Organization did with President Obama and give him an award before he actually does anything. His tone and his rhetoric made his task, to reunite our country, even more difficult. He fired up one side of America while he has isolated another side. He always loved a good fight and winning people over, even though he was not a gracious loser. He believes in himself and seems to have a prosperous vision for all Americans. Some revered him, while others thought he was the devil himself. In a divided nation, history will later decide which side was right.

Favorite Donald Trump story:

How no one ever mentioned that Donald Trump’s major theme, “Make America Great Again,” was actually the same theme Ronald Reagan used.

Most memorable Donald Trump memory:

As a person who loves to study Presidential history, I love to personally witness repeat performances. On election night, no one thought Donald Trump had a chance to win. Hillary Clinton was so sure she won the election that she rented an expensive victory room in New York with a high glass ceiling. She was going to taunt her “breaking through the glass ceiling” mandate. No reasonable newscaster saw any way Donald Trump would win. Just like “Dewey Defeats Truman,” those newscasters had to tuck their tails between their legs. While I’m not sure what kind of president Trump is going to be, sometimes it just nice to see those “know it alls” get it wrong.
